A fundraising walk which aims to get everyone taking part to raise enough money to pay for a pair of lifeboat crew wellies is taking place this Sunday.
There is still time to sign up for the RNLI’s Welly Walk around Pitsford Water.
The walk will start from Brixworth Country Park at 10.30am and walkers can either do the full circuit or a shorter route. The entry fee is £10 for adults and £5 for children under 16 (children under 11 have free entry).
Walkers will get a T-shirt and an RNLI Welly badge, plus a medal and some refreshment when they get back whichever route they take. And St John’s Ambulance will be in attendance to help with any first aid needs.
It’s called a Welly Walk because the RNLI is asking walkers to raise sponsorship of £45 to cover the cost of a pair of lifeboat crew wellies.
To sign up call the local RNLI branch on 07710 568860 or go online at RNLINorthamptonWellyWalk.eventbrite.co.uk.
